The Jane Matrix is a mult-position award winning car seat that offers a newborn both a healthy lie flat postion (WITH NO TIME LIMITS) and a extended rear facing position. Matrix is the perfect car seat to overcome the breathing problems a newborn suffers in a conventional infant carrier. Matrix can also be attached to all Jane pushchairs and the Bugaboo Cameleon to make a travel system.
The Jane Epic is a trendy city pushchair and by adding a Jane Matrix (as per the primary image) you get a Jane "Epic Matrix" travel system. Here is what Jane say about Epic:-
Sporty, compact, dynamic are the three adjectives that define the Epic pushchair from Jané.Its urban and pioneering design stands out because of its tubular chassis that gives it a hardwearing and innovative character.
Additionally, Epic offers extraordinary versatility: hardwearing PU tyres with shock absorbing properties; independent, long travel suspension on the rear wheels; excellent manoeuvrability thanks to the balanced front wheel set giving smooth, precise turning, a double brake lock and more compact folding with the detachable and reversible seat.
The new tubular chassis made of aluminium with a high elastic limit, makes it one of the lightest pushchairs in its category. Carefully designed, right down to the last detail, Epic also includes a practical cover for the handlebar so it doesn’t wear out from the continual use of the pushchair, and it also gives it a very personal touch.
Like all the Jané pushchairs, Epic offers all the characteristics and features typical of the brand: lightness, smooth handling, comfort for the baby, pro-fix system and a unique design. Epic is a superb pushchair full of developments which over the last few years has proven really popular with all users alike.

Jane Matrix (Light 2) model:
The Jane Matrix Light is the only car seat in the world that is multi-positional meaning... it can change shapefrom a car carrycot to a car seat. In addition, Matrix has two additional lie back positions for use when attached to a Jane or Bugaboo Cameleon pushchair to make a travel system.
Because of SIDS concerns the latest medical advice from Professor Peter Fleming OBE is for conventional infant carriers and newborn baby car seats is to limit journeys to no longer than 30 minutes in the first few weeks/months of life. For full details Google car seats breathing problems oxygen saturation, search for our video on YouTube or contact us.
The Jane Matrix Light has no time limits (subject to it being used in used in the lie flat carrycot mode). You do not have to worry about the amount of time you are travelling with baby and you have the comfort knowing baby is traveling in a healthy & safe position. You can also use Matrix Light for occasional overnight sleeping and an additional mattress is also available.
The tethering clips (so to secure in a car) are integral so cannot get lost and Matrix can also be secured using an ISOfix platform/base (see below). The one of a kind “Matrix Light 2” is suitable up to 10kg in the lie flat position and then up to 13kg in the upright position. When in the upright position Matrix Light offers the possibility of leaving baby in a rear facing position for longer as Matrix is about 5 inches in length longer than a conventional infant carrier. It is quite common for babies to stay in Matrix for 14 - 18 months after birth.
Due to Jane’s Pro-Fix system (this means you don’t have to buy any adapters, the exception being the Bugaboo Cameleon), the Jane Matrix Light is travel system compatible with the whole range of Jane pushchairs.
An ISOfix Base for use in the car (called a Platform) is also available for Matrix Light which operates on a turntable system allowing Matrix Light to both lie flat and rear face in the car. The Platform makes using Matrix Light incredibly easy.
A note about the Jane brand.Jane are one of the world’s largest brands and are based in Barcelona Spain. They have been in existence since 1932 and are brand or sector leaders in many of the 52 countries they supply including ones like China, Russia and the USA. Jane has created many industry "firsts" such as the world’s first multi folding pushchair, the world’s first multi position infant carrier car seat and the world’s first reclining ISOfix car seat (group 2/3). Some years ago Jane also supplied the UK company "Silver Cross" with a number of pushchairs which they successfully sold in the UK. Many in the industry believe Jane have the most advanced Car Seat Crash Research Centre in the world and every Friday it is open to school parties to visit.
Please also be awarethat Baby2k follows the latest SIDS advice from Professor Peter Fleming in relation to car seats, which recommends that newborns, (in the first few weeks & months of life), should spend no more than 30 minutes in a conventional infant when on a journey in a car. This is due to the fact that upright car seats dramatically lowers a newborns blood oxygen levels, (Google car seats breathing oxygen saturation). Initially, a conventional infant carrier car seat should not be used as a sitting device either at home or attached a pushchair, baby should remain as flat as possible. For information on “safe & healthy” lay flat car seats (meaning no time limits) please contact us or watch our Youtube videoclick here.
